Casa de Yemanja
(Home of the Sea Goddess)
The house is a very large property built in the 1970s.
It is surrounded by large gardens and high walls which both provide security and protection for the tropical vegetation which thrives in the gardens.
Within the gardens is a sizeable pool (7m x 3.5m) and there is a caretakers house/laundry onsite to provide additional support and security.
The house rooms are named after local features and are listed and pictured below, by floor;
"Sunbird" a large studio bedroom with a modern kitchenette, cafe table, AC, ceiling fan, large wardrobe and double beds - and french doors leading onto a covered patio and gardens
"Hummingbird" a double bedroom with twin beds, a large wardrobe, ceiling fan and mountain views
"Santa Catarina" a simple shower room/toilet in the original colourful 70s tiles
"venus" a large covered patio area with garden furniture

The house is on the straight , white beach in the bottom right hand corner of the map - the journey to Rio takes you over the long Guanabara Baty bridge - where the views of Rio de Janeiro and the Bay are stunning! Copacabana is the curved beach in the middle left of the map, and Ipanema the one to the left of that.
The house is a large property built over three floors. It is detached and set within its own high walls, this both provides security and allows for us to cultivate a lush garden right on the ocean.
There is a caretakers house/laudry attached to the property and a good sized swimming pool (3.5x7m) set in the gardens.
There are 4 double bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, three kitchens, three patio/balcony areas and one large lounge.
The rooms are as follows;
"Sunbird" - a large studio bedroom with modern kitchenette, AC, ceixiling fan large wardrobe, double bed, cafe table and french doors leading onto a covered terrace and gardens
"Hummingbird" - a double (twin bedded) room facing the mountain, large wardrobe and ceiling fan
"Santa Catarina" - a simple shower room toilet in original yellow and orange 70s tiles!
'Venus" - a large covered patio area with garden furniture.
